Avactis ecommerce : Easy integration, smart tag system, good backend

Pros: As a web designer I can't highly praise this solution enough.
The beauty of the Avactis ecommerce solution in my opinion is the smart tag setup. Store blocks can be placed anywhere you want, and are easily enough modified for a truely customised solution. If you have an existing website this cart can be moulded to fit seemlessly.
If you are setting up a new website then this is the most flexible cart you could go for. It fully supports CSS layout and comes with a site template which essentially you can base your entire new site on, literally you can be up and running and selling within a few hours.
The Admin backend is spot on. Every new user I have introduced to the admin area have commented on how comfortable they are to add/edit products and manage the day to day activities of running an ecommerce system. Its obvious a lot of thought has gone into this and a variety of video tutorials are included.
An added bonus is the Avactis support team, on the few times I've contacted them the response has been really fast. The online forum is thriving too.
All in all I highly rate Avactis and I see it fast becoming a leading cart solution.

Pros: Adding products seems quite easy, payment options is great,
the Froogle integration/csv output is just hands down awesome.
Tags work perfect.
Cons: Interesting coding (fake PHP within templates as a find/replace
type system), but I understand keeping modifications 'in house'. It's
not horrible on that aspect, just a head scratcher in a few places. But
the team was very helpful and responsive.

Pros: There is a great support and development team behind Avactis.
They treat you as real people. If you are serious about developing
e-commerce sites and need someone to go to with questions on customization
and further developments, you should definitely consider Avactis.
Avactis is quite professional in design and programming.
It's also the best I have used in customization. You don't need to know
much PHP to insert the tags into your existing design and totally customize
the look and feel of your store-front.
I am glad for the day I discovered Avactis. It's a wonderful product
that only keeps getting better.

Pros: I purchased this cart and then had Avactis do so customization
to it. We were been very impressed with how quickly they executed everything.
They were very professionals and we truly appreciated it.
Cons: Any cons I came across I emailed Avactis and they fixed them
literally right away.

Pros: Avactis shopping cart is by far the easiest solution I have
worked with and I am sure, in time, will become even better. The
additions talked about in the forum for future inclusion sound excellent.
Very easy to integrate into an already existing website. Customisation
of various parts of the cart are relatively straightforward due to be
being broken down into small components. The developers are also very
proactive at helping with providing a solution to any problems you may
encounter. All in all, a very good and reasonably priced solution.
Cons: Small niggly things like CSS code not being in one external
file. I read on the forums that this will be addressed soon in an upcoming
version though. This will make an already great product even better!

Pros: I want to thank you for your help. I was following your
progress and knew that this was a challenge. Thus far, I have to admit that working with the
Avactis team has been a pleasure. Be sure that any future client of mine
that require a shopping cart will be using your software.

Pros: Have tried and tested many a shopping cart - have even bought
a few (but not using any of them)......
This has to be the best available shopping cart, at the most
reasonable price for the functionality and customisable interface.
These developers know exactly what they are doing and nothing
seems to be a problem for them. Development is continuing and
based on their clients' requirements and requests.
There is nothing that I don't like..... When I click on a
country I get "that" countries States - don't have to scroll
through 300 US states when I live in Australia.... this is a
definite bonus for me.....
So easy to install and implement - being able to put up a store
in 1 to 2 days (more if you want to customise it extensively) You
can't ask for more.
I highly recommend this product to anyone - beginner, developer even
my grandmother would be able to manage this one - don't get
me wrong - it is a fully fledged shopping cart with the majority
of the bells and whistles and what is not there is in development!!
Cons: It hasn't quite figured out the content I want
inserted into the website!!!

Pros: It's was easy to integrate the shopping cart into the
existing web site. Effortless incorporation of payment gateway. Also
it allows a lot of customization. And they have great customer service!

Pros: When looking for an easy eshop-solution, I spend many
hours on the internet, searching for one that fulfilled my needs, and
demands for the product - Wich was: Easy to integrate to my existing
website, Easy to use and understand, Easy to install, and easy to
design the way I wanted it to. Also the cost of it, should be affordable,
but with everything else - the cheaper it gets, the lower quality. But
this is'nt the way round, for this product - And I found that only
one product was really reaching my needs/demands. Avactis have made
this awsome product, and it ended my search on the web, with a big
relief! Soon I had a new eshop up and running. But that's not all.. The
team behind Avactis, are very professionel about their product, and their
costumers. If you have questions, or might even need help with doing
something special - Contact them, and they'll help you instantly, with
much joy for you as costumer. It's really nice to see, a team like them,
fullfill their product with such a great service for their costumers! -
Only thing I can say to you, if you search the net for a solution,
to your eshop: If you try this product out, you will be much more
than amazed! I know for sure, It'll end your search right here. Have

I found Avactis to be the easiest, most complete, 'out of the box' type storefront
software out there, at a great price. While there were some interesting coding
things (find/replace <? php Somefunctionthatisntreallyafunction() ?>, that had me
head scratching looking for the function structure ;p). But other than that, and a _ton_ of
directory structures... It wasn't too bad.
What it gives you though is invaluable, a non-programmer easily able to create and
change their store. Which saves me time and money smile.gif.
One possible addition, a php script to change the names to 'So in So's Store etc'
from the 'Avactis Sample Shop'. Might be a nice 'change over', it'd also allow the
Avactis team to keep the references they wish in place (copyrights etc)).
I'm happy with it though, and I'll use it for other clients, perhaps even start a shop myself.

I will admit again ... when I heard about Avactis my attitude was
yeah right ... how great can this be?
Goes to show how conditioned I was to work around or simply not working with a cart at all.
Forums are the same in my opinion. A time wasting bust for designers.
I have been working with this cart now for over a month.
I have put it thru every design test I can think of SHORT OF really tampering with
the original default code.
For those of you wondering why I chose not to do that ... the normal cart user will
not be able to or care to do that so I wanted to press what was default to
the limit. I did and guess what? Aside from some developmental issues being
handled by the team ... I found no problems.
This morning when I dropped the designs into the new cart install I literally
held my breath half way expecting to have to redo something. NOT ONE THING had to be fixed!
The install is a breeze for people with little or no understanding of complecated
software installs.
For those experienced designers the complicated design manipulation will be left to you.
For those who want a quick fast design change the "store styles" are a 10 min.
fix for the customer.
Avactis probably does not want to bother with design since they are up to
their ears in development. That leaves design up to those who have fun at it
and want to offer it as an option to promoting the cart and their own work.
Any customer who wants to start an ecommerce business literally overnight
could do it with this cart.
To be honest I do not believe the average customer with no html, css or php
knowledge could integrate this cart into an existing design easily if at
all ... they would either have to hit the texts on how to or hire someone
to do it for them.
With the store styles simply being dropped into an installed cart that problem
is solved ... along with the permission issues from the past.
There is always going to be those who know how and want to hack system
code ... the average customer IS NOT that person ... so since a good business
objective is serve the many ... in my opinion this is the program that will do
exactly that. biggrin.gif
For you business people out there?
No matter what you think ... your time IS NOT free ... it is worth money.
Do yourself a favor and give this cart a try ... in the long run I am willing to
bet you will be more than pleased.

I have been web developing for quite a long while and would like to
give Avactis 5 stars. In my many years of web development I have used
almost every shopping cart on the market from Agora to ZenCart, and
by far Avactis is the best and easiest for clients to use. It saves me
quite a bit of valuable time explaining every aspect of the cart to the
client, integrating into a custom skin is beyond easy. Overall its is
extremely simple to use and work with.

I want to brag up how great and knowledgeable the entire Avactis team
is regarding this shopping cart. First off, you can give them FTP access and
actualy trust them to log in and fix a glitch (during beta testing phases)
without worry of them trying to go through your system...these days that alone
is unheard of! They get in there, get right to the heart of the problem, fix it
in a matter of minutes and fix it in a way that it completely solves the problem
without messing something else up somewhere in the shopping cart.
THAT IS GREAT!
They offer advice with the mySQL installs and also the PHP installs and tell you
exactly what is wrong with that, if the problem lies there. These people are seriously
knowledgable about everything they do. I am used to dealing with ISPs and Microsoft
who you can't trust over the phone let alone with access to a server you own.
The Avactis Team just blows my mind that old fashioned values and customer service of
this magnitude exist.
So GREAT to know there is a company out there in the world
like this. I completely trust Avactis and have great faith in this company! Thanks
Avactis team...your product outshines every cart on the web and is the only product
I will ever use again. You have been such a great help with the entire process of this
shopping cart, from install to full production. Never have I seen a company so great as Avactis!

I just wanted to say Thank You to the Avactis Team ... I am really loving your quick response
time, and how you are so willing to delve into ones files to figure out a problem and to get
it corrected so quickly. It is really fantastic customer service, and I can't tell you how
much someone like me (a non-programmer!) appreciates it.
